When you're ready to start therapy



When entering into therapy, you can think of it similar to entering into a relationship with a safe professional that is empathetic and accepting. This professional will support you, encourage and guide you, but not FIX you.

If you have the expectation that the therapist will fix you, it is not fair on either yourself or the therapist. It's not what therapy is. You're not a car with a few broken parts. You are not a machine that we can put through a conveyor belt of tests that hel


p you heal. You're a unique star beam, with a code that is so niched only you are the one that can unlock it for yourself. A therapist supports this process, think of her like your self healing buddy, helping you try differnt combinations until you find the unique code that leads you to your untapped potential. This is an expereince that you feel first hand and you're the one that utilises your own magic for fulfillment and enrichment.


When you expect the therapist to fix you, you disempower yourself. You hand over all your autonomy and be lost to yourself. You make the th


erapist big and you small.

The therapist can never take up that space for you in your life. A therapist will never know what is best for you, only you can know that, and you can never be the second in charge of your life. You are the main event and the star of the show. You must take up all the space. Thats why you never have to apologise for crying as much as you do in a session. This is your space to take up, and this is what you are paying for.

A therapist is trained and can handle all the tears you can muster. In fact a therapist can see that the tears are necessary in your self disocvery and healing.


So now, hopefully when you engage with a therapist you can treat it a little like an aventure, where the therapist is the kind helper, assisting and guiding you to your resources, offer new paths to take and hold space when the times get rough and tough. The wise mentor, that knows all this unrest will lead you to a beautiful opening of self dicovery and an increase in your life fulfillment.


Therapy really is a beautiful service to work with at least once a year, even if you feel like you're travelling well. It's a good emotional gunk clean out and a reconnection with your self that you would not normally have the space or tools to do on your own.
