Stop pointing fingers

Updated: Apr 2, 2022

You're in the way of your health, wealth and happiness. Anything you want to achieve and haven't is not because the timing wasn't right or the diet was crap, or your life got crazy. It all falls back on you. You, not prioritising yourself enough to make it happen despite these changes in your life. Despite the crazy, despite COVID, despite finances.

We might look at our colleagues and compare. They have more supportive parents than me, or they haven't been through what I have been through. Your adversity can be used as your key driver in motivating you for change and growth.

You're in your position today because of how you showed up for yourself in the past. You're a result of what you did yesterday. So, if you are not happy with where you are at, then lets change it. It's time to change the way you think, it's time to do a bit of soul searching. Its' time to break through the barriers that have been holding you back and talk to yourself differently. Otherwise in another 5 years time you will not have moved that needle again and you just keep piling up the regrets, to take to your death bed, and you know what the number one regrets of the dying are don't you?

To have the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me

When we are remaining unhappy and stuck in a life that has been moulded by others, that doesn't fulfil me, we are doing LIFE itself a disservice. You are here to be you. In your truest and healthiest form. You are deserving to be abundantly happy and by having all of this you are giving to the world what we need to heal and develop into a better place.

If you're miserable, imagine how that impacts the lives of your children. If you are full of resentment imagine how toxic that is for your health and the health of your family and the people you spend your time with. Take any of those negative emotions and just know that even if you are not doing it consciously you are putting these emotions into the filed of your loved ones to pick up and carry the burden of too.

The five steps to start changing your mindset

  1. Take 100% responsibility for where you are today. Own it all.

  2. Be ready for change. Get honest with yourself. Change is scary. What's been holding you back? and are you ready to break free from the comfort zone?

  3. Know where you are going and WHY you are going there. You might want to lose weight for your health, but you can do better than that. Dig a little deeper. Why are you wanting to lose weight, what specifically will it give you and how will that impact your family?

  4. Look square in your eyes every morning and tell yourself how much you care about this. Congratulate yourself every night in your eyes.

  5. ACTION. Make a plan, take the action and make sure that everyday a portion of your day is dedicated to what it is you are achieving. Increase this time spent on it over time. Make everyday a day that you can tick something off, always have something to tick off.

This is it. Will you do it?

If something is stopping you from being able to do these 5 steps there might be something bigger at play, something in your unconscious that is worth exploring. Lets unravel that together in a session.

Or you may have someone else that you would prefer to go to. If it's me or someone else, just book in and do the work. It's a must for your personal growth. Shed the layers that have been holding you back.

Together we can raise our standards and create a better world for ourselves, our family and all future generations.
